So I called them and was immediately informed that the CC payment system was having problems. Ofcourse it was being worked on by IT and there all those other payment methods. I told her that she forgot the most obvious solution, use FedEx. Totally pathetic, can't even pay for their services. As a business, they are a bad joke.

Sixth time UPS package is late. Paid $32 for overnight shipping because I thought the company shipping it would be Fedex, but nope! It was UPS. Guess what? It's late, and because the label was being sent to the wrong address??? But they only noticed this AFTER it made the plane trip over several states, into my state. They also sent me an email the day before saying my delivery was scheduled today... ALONG WITH MY FULL AND COMPLETE ADDRESS???? That email was sent before the delay, so they had the right address, they just want an excuse not to refund me my $32.

Shipping was supposed to be done by FedEx but lo and behold it was UPS. My stomach sank. I instantly knew I should have drove over from Clearwater, FL. Well what should have been a simple drive over, it managed to make it to NEW YORK! WHAT IN THE ALMIGHTY HELL?! No updates made since its arrival to the shitty state. I already know that trying to make a phone call will only prove to be a waste of time. It's been about 10 days with no update. Should have just made that 2hr drive.

Every time something gets shipped from ups, I instantly know I'm going to get f%@ked over in more than a few ways. First off, their so called update system is virtually non-existent. First off they delay the shit out of packages for no reason whatsoever. The truck drivers also have a ridiculous tendency to waste their time, I've seen plenty of ups drivers just waste time doing nothing whatsoever when they should be delivering packages to those who order them. I make it a point to never order from a seller that uses ups due to just how pathetic of a service it is but clearly this package I've been waiting for for two weeks was an oversight. Never use ups if you actually want to get the packages you order within a reasonable time

Followed the online links to "pay now", requires registering.. got swirled into an awful vortex of web-page redirects. Tried to enter my CC info, and it would not accept it. Plus, the notice showed one amount, and my online notice showed another amount.

I have to ship International Baccalaureate examination papers from the US to the UK for scanning and scoring. I had no problems using UPS in the past, but for the past two years, UPS has been holding some of the packages in a warehouse (I can never find out exactly WHERE they are), because they say that a commercial invoice is needed for shipping. THE UPS WEBSITE EXPLICITLY SAYS THAT THERE IS NO NEED FOR A COMMERCIAL INVOICE WHEN YOU ARE ONLY SHIPPING DOCUMENTS! Apparently, they have neglected to inform their employees of this fact. I have spent HOURS on the phone with hapless, clueless reps who not only can't tell me where my package is, they also aren't aware of the information that is on the UPS website. For instance, when you go to the "Forms" page, and look at the descriptions of the forms they have for you to download, the description of the Commercial Invoice for global shipping also says that it is only needed for "NON-DOCUMENTS!"

In addition to business-related issues, UPS failed to deliver some fresh frozen dog food when it was due; it arrived 3 days late, in a box that was NOT the box the shipper used, and it was all thawed - I had to throw it out and the shipper filed a claim with them and sent me new supplies at no cost to me. UPS is the WORST and I am going to do everything I can to get my business office to switch to a reliable carrier, like DHL.

Every time I see that a vendor is sending something through UPS, I know it's going to be a problem. Especially if I'm ordering something that is coming from the US into Canada. They add random import fees, which are basically akin to extortion, and you can't even pay them using the link provided (it throws up errors at various stages of the process every time, both on mobile and desktop). You have to call to pay over the phone, then they "send a message to the driver" to let them know that you paid the fees. (Why wouldn't they have an automated system to handle this???) Of course, the driver never gets the message and the fees show up as unpaid on their end, so they don't even attempt delivery. Three strikes and you're out, even though you called them to straighten the situation out after every failed delivery attempt. Then you end up having to go to their main hub, which is of course an hour away from your house. It's a maddening and nonsensical system.

Just waited 10 days for a spare part when working remotely, part got from US to Spain in two days but was then stuck for "warehouse scan" for eight days by which time I was not working in the destination location. They never do anything to fix or help the situation. Just lies and automatic responses until you yell at them over email. Impossible to create an account or recover my old. Just dragging their feet.

Three weeks ago I waited for some expedited service which was taxes and custom prepaid. Took more that two weeks to get it all sorted out because the sender (UPS claims!) had ticked wrong box in some label or form. And in the end they did not deliver it but let the Postoffice do the delivery. All the time conflicting, wrong and outright lies depending on who you talk to.

Never use them if I have an option.

A 'ground' package from CA to FL has been stuck on a railroad 'event' and will be delivered 3 or 4 days late.

This trouble with the railroads doesn't make much sense unless the RR's are as incompetent as the feds are.

OR - is this 'event' just to let us know how much we rely on the railroads by cutting back on performance?

I'm located in Rovaniemi, Finland, Europe.

I ordered a package from Germany (here in European Union it's basically the same to order something from a different country than from your own country) and it left Germany on-time 14.4.2022.

It arrived into Finland 18.4.2022, but here UPS started doing their shit. I was waiting my package before I leave so I paid a little extra for that. Well, I'm still waiting my package (27.4.2022) and I actually don't even know where it is.

Their tracking system sucks, it shows something like they need to gain some security access (meaning door code I guess), for a three days row. f%@k, I wasn't anymore home and I guess they haven't even been on my door. And that tracking system shows WRONG CITY for the three days. So I called their customer service that what the hell, so they said it's actually in Rovaniemi, but the driver hasn't been able to deliver it. Okay, I asked them to change the address because I'm working remote this week (25.4. - 31.4.), and that request was made on friday 22th of April.. Now it's wednesday 27th of April, and that request IS STILL PENDING ON THEIR SYSTEM.

So my package is somewhere which even they don't know, my address change request HASN'T gone through and what more.

I called CS again, to make a request that I'll collect the package myself somewhere. UPS System doesn't show an access-point in my home city, and the nearest is 90km (55 mile) away from Rovaniemi. Well, I decided to collect the package from that point if it needs to go there, but the customer service told that now the request has been made for collecting the package myself, AND SOMEONE WILL CALL YOU WILL THE PACKAGE GO TO THE COLLECT POINT OR SOMEWHERE NEAR MY HOME CITY. I'M STILL WAITING THE CALL.

UPS, YOU SUCK SO BAD!! I've NEVER HAD THIS BAD DELIVERY by ANYONE!!

I experienced the same run around for several packages....and the overseas employee I spoke was downright rude, I was polite yet firm...And yes I was transferred around when I asked for a Supervisor.... Even if you call their U.S. Headquarters and talk to an English speaking Supervisor in the U.S. in Atlanta, Georgia...all they do is say they will get back with you which they never do...



All they did was make excuses---

1. My residence may be hard to find---I countered funny how Petco, Pizza Hut, Instacart, and Amazon have no problem finding it...Buildings are clearly marked!

2. Or well they delivered to the address---not true not to my unit number which was clearly indicated shown on the shipping label and front door delivery requested on UPS Premium Choice! Our Condo Mail Center has no unit code! ....

3. Well I dont have a phone number to follow up for your area on driver delivery (can you believe a billion dollar company doesnt have a database with UPS Regional phone numbers...)

4. Get a refund from the vendor ---I countered WHY the vendor did nothing wrong it was YOUR UPS DRIVER that didnt follow directions and now UPS wont accept responsibility! I paid EXTRA for FRONT DOOR DELIVERY and didnt get it!????

5. Oh we cant do anything now its been over a week--I submitted a complaint right away---UPS YOU DRAGGED YOUR FEET!

I got the excuse "not at home", gee I work from home!!!!, and besides on their website I have an electronic signature so they can leave all packages and dont have to wait for someone in person to sign for it!



Yep, like us, in the past UPS was the best, but now you almost wish for Fed Ex or USPS..its gotten that bad and they are pretty bad!!????



What I cant understand I can see them driving around our Condo Complex in their brown truck, so why are they delivering just some packages to front doors but not others....??? And you cant say its the pandemic, this poor service started before the pandemic, you cant say because more people are ordering online...some drivers even complain about too much "down time"....so whats their problem....????? I think its these drivers that are lazy and are being creative so they can finish up their work shift fast and go home EARLY!



And during the height of COVID when our Apartment Mail Center was officially CLOSED and deliveries STOPPED and all delivery services were notified and a notice was even posted on the door---the woman that worked in the Apt said UPS would dump packages in front of the door anyway---ignoring the notice!

UPS attempted to deliver the package three days in a row at the exact same time every day during the week day. Are they unaware that people work during the week?

I was hoping they would stagger the second and third attempt. Coming out a different time each day, but no, that would make too much sense.

I thought they would send it back to one of their Depots and then I would have to pick it up. Do you think I could find any information on that ? Of course not! The only thing I saw on their slip was the threat to return it to sender.

Then there was the myriad of phone calls and messages sent to finally find out that if I paid the import fee that was due, they would tell me where to go pick it up.

This experience has been absolutely eye-opening. I’ve had deliveries by other companies go badly, but never this badly.

I don’t understand that it was bumped back a day even though it’s sitting idle for 48+ hours. At my place of employment if I don’t get my work done in the time I’m there…it’s now my responsibility to get it done on my own time…bump it back a day or 2 isn’t an option…..but then again I work through lunch and don’t sit in my truck for a 45 minute lunch. All the orders we need for this weekend will now be late. I tried to go pick up and they told me I couldn't because they were locked in a trailer and they couldn't get them out until Monday. Meanwhile anything that was shipped FedEx Ground arrived by 1 PM today.

This company has screwed me so many times. I lie awake at night thinking of ways I will get back at them. If anyone has suggestions please pass it on.

It never fails that the delivery is constantly late. The newest excuse? "A late UPS trailer arrival has caused a delay. We're adjusting plans to deliver your package as quickly as possible." I work at a new school and UPS REGULARLY cannot "find" our address despite the large sign out in front. They recently sent a package from Flinn Scientific addressed to Kentucky to Illinois.
UPS conveniently will not allow a human to field calls asking for where our packages might be and their customer service is crap.
Don't blame the drivers. Its upper management that is at fault.

UPS is yet another American company run by a horrible CEO that cares absolutely nothing for its’s customers and only cares about how much money they can stuff in their pockets.
There is no way to track a package any more, the packages almost always show up days later than what they stated to you at first, and then you call UPs to try and get help and you get nowhere from their “lack of customer service department”.
If I was a UPS executive and read the massive about of negative reviews I would be very embarrassed…but then I’m not a scumbag like the CEO who runs UPS so poorly.

UPS sucks because they lost a package sent to a customer on 2/14/22, then admitted it was lost and sent me paperwork to get "reimbursed for my loss". I follow all the instructions on the bar coded paperwork, collecting all the required documents, then attempted to fax the documents to the fax number on the bar coded UPS document. No answer, try again.....No answer! Try again X 10........No answer!!!!! Call customer service, speak for over an hour, then on to a supervisor who says it will be taken care of. Send the documents to the mailing address on the bar coded document received from UPS....On March 3rd!!! No "return to sender", no returned mail, nothing!!! Call UPS customer care, again......another hour of my life I will not get back!! Same result!!
Multiple calls to UPS customer care with no resolution, always tell me my claim has been elevated and passed on to a supervisor who will call within 24 hours. Never happens!! How does a company so large suck so bad at customer service???

Contacted the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint. They have a UPS customer Care number listed on their site, so I contact UPS using this number. They can readily pull up all your information from the first time you called and recite it back to you, however, after telling me that they were sorry for any inconvenience, please email my documents to them......which I quickly did yesterday. Here is the response I received today:

I was advised by the claims team that the account number and barcode must be the first page submitted when faxing. My complaint is that in delivering to an apartment building that has a telephone-entry system, the delivery person SHOULD use the system to "call" the tenant to whom the package is being delivered, and then, upon being buzzed into the building, the delivery person should deliver the package to the tenant's door.

Well-- for the past few years-- starting WAY before the COVID shutdown began-- UPS delivery people don't do that. Instead, they gain access to the apartment building somehow-- how, I don't know-- and just dump the package into the lobby or some other "common area," where the package can easily be stolen by anybody who happens to pass through that area-- another tenant, a person visiting another tenant-- ANYBODY! That's bloody ridiculous!!!

Yesterday, I had a new computer delivered, and I'm just damn lucky that I was able to retrieve it from the lobby before somebody stole it!!!

UPS lostdamaged my package since 3-7-2022. The phone number 1-800-742-7892 is automated and the worst I have experienced, you spen 10 minutes trying to get around it to speak with a human representative. Once speaking to them about the claim info that was Emailed to me to complete, the representative was useless didn't even know about the process. They want you mail it or to FAX it, who thinks if you FAX it someone will get it. Then they indicate on the Email you can do it online, this is a disater as well and the sales rep after 20 minutes of putting me on and off being on hold could not figure it out. Sounds like they farmed the support or help out of the U.S..

Unbeleivable UPS has lostDamaged my shipment and I have to spend days dealing with getting the costs for the item and shipping back. So dissapointed and angry.

I ordered something from Italy, I did not pay for express shipping it was free shipping. I got the item in 4 days. 4 days from Italy ok. From that international shopping company. Like holy shit. Ups has taken a full 14 business days to get a package to me. I still don’t have it. It’s in the next city but is still 2 days away from delivery. It gets stuck in a facility for about 4 days and then moves to the next one. Blah blah. I get they are understaffed I do whatever but how in the f%@k can Amazon get packages to you in 2 days and I can get packages from overseas in 4 days but ups has to take half a month to get something to you in the US. Not even usps is as UPS. I’m a fairly patient person but when I’m told I get 5 day delivery window and it takes 14-16 days it blows dick.

Among all things the worst Is the amount of firearms and ammunition’s that gets pillaged out of small based hubs and centers with minimal security. I want went through a hub that had three cameras and that’s their only line of defense for theft prevention. I purchased a boutique guitar amplifier from Reverb. The amp was used, but in mint condition. The seller was about 7 hours away, but with Delta spreading across the South, I convinced him to ship it;...

I purchased a boutique guitar amplifier from Reverb. The amp was used, but in mint condition. The seller was about 7 hours away, but with Delta spreading across the South, I convinced him to ship it; BIG Mistake!! This was in September of 2021.
The seller dropped it off at his local UPS Store. He had me call the store and to pay for shipping to my door. This was smart of him, since he was no longer a responsible party. I basically shipped it to myself. I insured the amp for $1,700, and I paid $205.04 for the shipping cost. The amp was heavy at 65lbs, but I figured it was in good hands at the UPS Store.
Well, I was WRONG. UPS managed to destroy yet another item of mine. I think that I would have been better off taking my chances with COVID!
This was a combo amp which sold new for about $2,800. The amp cabinet was crushed on both sides indicating that it was dropped. I contacted the seller and the manager of the UPS Store and gave them the news. The manager of the store opened up a claim. They sent a driver to pick up the amp. Before the pikup, I contacted the amp manufacturer about the damaged and I asked for a repair estimate. I was also concerned about the electronics. He said that they are built tough and that the electronics should be fine. I tried the amp out before UPS took it back and after about 2 minutes it started smoking…
At this point, I knew that the amp was trashed and that I was looking at an uphill battle.
I was told that the claim would take months to finalize. I was patient, and I only contacted the UPS Store about 4 times in a 5 month period. Flash forward to six months, and I lost my patience. I got the run around for too long now and I was out of almost $2k.
I contacted corporate and they asked where the amp was. I said “how should I know?”. I tracked my amp back to a friend of the UPS Store’s owner who repairs industrial machinery. At this point I was done!! Corporate wanted an invoice for the repair. This was the only thing holding all of this up. I contacted the store again and requested resolution now. The store manager cut me a check and I received it the next day.
Unfortunately, Fedex is no better. Since this issue began, I have received other expensive items from UPS with damage. Some boxes even have foot prints on them!
The USPS gets a lot of flack, but they have never lost or destroyed a package of mine!

If anyone wonders why Bezos is so damn rich, it’s because of service like this. Why the hell would I order from EBay, Mercari, etc when most of the time I have unreliable shipping information. This time; I’ve been given no shipping number or information at all (thanks Mercari). I’m amazed UPS manages to keep track of ANY of the packages they handle at this rate. That’s on top of having to pray my items aren’t stolen by f%@king pirates, “lost” in the facility, or thrown so hard at the door they obliterate on impact.

I called their customer service number and got a lot of b.s. The call taker said their workers don't work pass 7pm because of overtime. The driver was still delivering packages pay or home at that time.

So after UPS demolished some of my boxes breaking 2500 worth of my stuff…after me insuring my packages…after sending them multiple pictures proving their negligence…

They decided not to pay me.

Nothing.

What a horrible organization.

They literally expected me to save boxes with a bunch of broken glass and essential oils all over for 3 months while they took their sweet time.

It’s unfortunate that these awful corporations do whatever they want and get away with it.

I searched under every rock and grass blade, but there was no Garf to be seen. I had no anger towards Amazon. My anger only grew towards UPS. I took a closer look at where the Garf was delivered… too my amazement, it was delivered about 5 towns away. I double checked to see if I put my address in properly, and it was correct.

I was home all day working and no delivery attempt was made. I even have proof through my doorbell camera. Called customer service and was told delivery was rescheduled for following morning. That was a lie. Checked tracking again the next day and it was already on a trailer to be shipped 4500kms back to the sender. Spoke to another agent who said the package was improperly packed. So after it was picked up, shipped across the country and out for delivery, THEN they decide it wasn't packaged well?? And what about the website saying delivery was refused? It actually was packed very well so I'm wondering how many times it got run over by the truck. Today they charged an additional $355 to my credit card to ship it back to the originating address. That's also after another questionable additional charge. Almost $750 for nothing?? It's very frustrating because you expect a shipping company to not just ship packages (and in my case shipped across the country multiple times) but to DELIVER them.

I said no biggie I’ll just go pick it up. After a 30 minute call to customer service I arranged to pick it up $7.00 btw, it would be ready in an hour. I get there an hour twenty later. They can’t find it. They said it must be on the delivery truck and I’d have to come back. But it was never “out for delivery”. I come back at the magical 7pm-ish. Time and get told it’s on a trailer that’s locked. I guess no one has a key? But I’m not special I don’t think someone should dig for my package, I’m not the only person in the world. So I ask them they’ll deliver it on Saturday then? Yes! They will!. Ok but I need to cancel my “pickup” then? Ohhh yeah. I go home and after a 40 minute call back wait I get the run around. I can only make one change. I need to call billing to get my money back but they’re not open until Monday. So in short no one at UPS knows what’s going on, customer service doesn’t have the power to serve the customer, from now on I’ll go out of my way to not use UPS because this is becoming the norm.

My previous UPS driver was awesome! He always got my packages to me on time, he always was friendly to my family and had a good work ethic. I honestly cannot think of one complaint in the two years since I moved to this area and I receive several packages. Then he retired Dec 2021. The new "driver" is an idiot. So far in a 4 week time period he has left a package at a random house 3 miles away from me on a completely different road (he signed for it himself and the package was never found), he drove a package around for a week before finally delivering it to my neighbor totally destroyed (luckily my neighbor is a stand up guy and brought it to me, he crashed his truck into a ditch down the road from my house and needed my same neighbor to pull him out with a farm tractor and now has rescheduled my latest package that has been out for delivery 3 times because of "severe weather" even though the road is completely clear and there is not even snow in my area now (and for clarification I drive a Fiat 500 and have no issues getting to my house). The current package contains a part for my furnace that it will not function without. So it is of importance (to me at least). I actually dread seeing UPS as the delivery service on my packages now. I've actually stopped using amazon and went to ebay and only buy items shipped by USPS or Fedex. I've filed complaints but nobody seems to care. Guess I'm only 1 person out of millions who use UPS so my business is not important.

Package never made it to destination, apparently it was "found empty" , the packaging was deemed inadequate by a mystery person, the evidence (the supposedly insufficient packaging) was "discarded" by them and the damage claim denied. All this happened unbeknownst to me, done by a mystery UPS employee I suppose.
Let's not kid ourselves....UPS lost the package (AGAIN - not like this is an isolated incident) and are now trying to avoid having to pay out the claim for this fully 100% insured package. Oh yeah, paid a pretty penny to have the full value of this package 100% insured.

It went from Tennessee to Hodgkin's Illinois perfectly, the instead of being trucked from that hub 4 hours to Lacrosse WI it sits at Hodgkins Illinois Hub where they continue to give it a weather exception, except there isn't any bad weather between there and here. So now my 2 Day Air has spent 6 days in shipping and they no longer know when it will be delivered. Why don't they know when my package will be delivered? It's only 4 Hours away. The whole order is useless to me without all the parts, now I have missed my deadline and wasted three days (and counting) waiting on UPS to deliver. They go pick up the broken cabinet - nobody there ever looks at them and then they send me a form letter saying packaging was not appropriate - BS! They just refuse to pay me back for a broken item.

I send them pix of the item before packing, pix of every step packing them and then the completely destroyed item. And they still say not packed correctly.

Last week I brought a 40x12x14 box weighing 40 lbs to the ups store with 16 stickers saying fragile, this end up and do not stack on the box - so the genius at the ups store pick it up and lays it on its side on the scale.

I went nuts on the guyl Can['t you read you idiot? Manager comes out apologizes and tries to make an excuse. So he carries it to the back and immediateluy drops it on its side. When he came out my video was still running and he lost all color in his face.

I might go back and just kick everyone in ythe balls.

UPS has been consistently awful for years due to all the reasons already pointed out here, but my most recent experience represents an all-time low for them.

My daughter has to take an injectable medication monthly for a chronic disease. This is supposed to be delivered within 24 hours of shipment because it is heat-sensitive. I am sitting here waiting for UPS to call me back after filing a claim because it is now two days late, but that's not the worst of it. The driver LIED on the tracking/delivery report and said they attempted to deliver it but no one was home to sign for the package. I was home all day for the last three days since I work from home. The day before that, they said they couldn't deliver due to bad weather but the snow has been melting here for days and the roads are totally clear. LIARS. IN the past, they have just left the package wherever they felt like without even asking for a signature.

Customer service was absolutely no help either. They have trouble with English and are basically unable to take action to help you. The one time I was able to get through to someone, they submitted a request to dispatch to have the driver call me. I got an automated call with a bad connection that dropped before I could connect and no one ever called me back.

Not only did UPS fail to deliver the package the next day, not only did UPS reroute the package 2 days later to a drop-off site in another city 30 KM away, UPS also never sent any notification of delay to me directly or indirectly via RL's website. I lost time speaking with RL customer service to track down the package. In the information age, it is simply rude to not communicate timely information that keeps customers informed. UPS, if you are late and/or you reroute a package then be polite and send apologies. It's an extra line of code in your IT systems, so reasonable to expect.

Poor communication is the height of unprofessional behavior, and it makes RL look terrible. Brands should consider applying much greater pressure on poor suppliers, to improve brand and customer experience.
