I now get to wait until Monday where I can conveniently drive 15 minutes to some storefront to pick up my package and drive another 15 minutes back to the house. I am so sick of this bullshit from UPS. What kind of bullshit delivery requires me to go somewhere else to get the delivery.... I'll tell you its UPS... the brown truck... same color as the quality of their service... All other carriers give you enough time to get to the door, but the UPS driver has pre-filled out the "Sorry we missed you" ticket before s/he gets to the door. (Of course I never know their gender because all I get to see is the ass end of the truck) What is the point of next day delivery if I have to wait 4 days to get it. UPS is _the_ worst delivery company out there. Even the postman is polite and patient enough for me to get to the door.

One order, two packages, two mysteries. One package coming from MO ended up overshooting me by 900 miles. This is actually a sorta happy part of the story. Once I noticed that the package wasn’t on the usual path I (mistakenly) called support and actually talked with a human. A woefully unskilled and under-trained script reading human. She assured me that my package would be delivered on that day, even though it was already 400 miles past it’s destination. Suuure it will. An hour later I checked tracking again and it was now 800 miles away from me. Huh?

So I did what I should have done in the first place. I called the local UPS depot where a couple of folks know me on sight. I got a guy I don’t know and he went full kick-ass. He figured out that the ZIP code was very wrong. Not the fault of UPS so they are in the clear. He said he would get an intercept in action and would call me back. It wasn’t five minutes later that he did call me back. Dude is like a mercenary of package delivery. Nobody at the vendor knows how the ZIP was botched. I’ve ordered from there before many times with no issues. Maybe their office cat fell asleep on the keyboard. But I still have to ask why UPS doesn’t have a way to match up the city with the ZIP and send up a flag when it doesn’t match. OCR tech is quite mature at this point.

Second package is not such a huge mystery. It was coming from another warehouse in CA. Uh oh. That pretty much means that I should expect issues with that black hole known as Hodgkins, IL. And yes, it did go wrong. Typical excuse of a late trailer delivery blah blah blah and it was stuck in the backside of an aardvark. It finally made it to the next stop. Now I have to worry that it makes it to me intact. Nothing quite like receiving another optical instrument that has been shattered while being extricated from an aardvark’s anus or whatever. Been there before and the claim process is a joke!

Not beat up some, not dented, not bent but I mean to tell you MANGLED.
I'd like to know if it was like that when the delivery guy put it on his truck. All but a minute amount of the tape was torn open, it had a two foot by four inch rip in the side and was bent into an "S" shape.
I stopped him before he left and told him the contents were destroyed and he said "How do you know that?". I told him I peeked into the giant rip and saw it.
This thing was so screwed up that it took world class balls to leave it on the step. Driver said "It doesn't look damaged to me." How could it not?
I refused it. Driver says it should have been packed better. No, it should have been treated better.

Philadelphia here. UPS hasn't made an on-time delivery in 6 months. They deliver to the wrong address, claim they attempted delivery when they did nothing of the sort, claim severe weather when there isn't any. I finally got Amazon to send everything by Amazon courier after UPS incompetence cost Amazon hundreds of dollars in free goodies for me when UPS screwed up deliveries and Amazon wanted to calm down an outraged customer. I wouldn't trust UPS to pour pee out of a boot with instructions written on the heel.

I remember growing up and UPS was not only a good company to work for, but UPS and Fedex were respected. Today's UPS i feel is comparable to cheap plastic shit from China, were you take the product out the packaging and it hits you immediately with a strong chemical smell that gives you a headache and makes you start thinking about brain damage just from inhaling the vapors coming off the plastic.

For the past several months I have had the displeasure of dealing with UPS. I have educated myself in the multiple attempts to try and get resolutions, but so far have been unsuccessful.

1. They keep putting my packages on the neighbors steps [I'd also like to mention I live in the city of Wilmington, and though I live in a nicer part, it's still a city, so, yeah if you don't catch the package in time it's getting stolen]. Now, there's three doors to our building. I'm apartment #3. The first and third doors are separate from apartments 3-6, and we have a foyer with our mailboxes. The door leading to the foyer area is always unlocked, has a giant window so one can see the mailbox area if standing on the steps [so there's no excuse to not put packages inside the foyer], and the door is labeled with the address and apartment numbers that correspond to that door. Pretty hard to mess that up, yet my packages are going missing and the past 3 have all been placed on the neighbors steps inside of mine, or heaven forbidden inside the freaking mail area. Couple weeks ago a package was left out in a thunder storm on the neighbor's steps, that's probably only reason it didn't get stolen. The last package I received several hours ago from my posting here, wasn't even on the neighbor's steps, it had somehow fallen off and was by the trash cans, lol! I mean, they had break pads in them, so no amount of wind was going to blow the box off the steps, that means the driver not only put the box on the wrong steps, again, but probably perched it on the corner of the steps or some half-assed manor, in order for it to fall off [maybe he thought he was playing the old NES game Paperboy?].

Now, I will accept that hey, the driver is one guy, right? One person can't speak for or represent an entire company, after all. We often think of the person we interact with or indirectly interact with as the 'face' of a company, but I'm a fair guy, I realize the driver isn't the entirety of UPS. But, when I go to complain about the driver, when I go to get my options changed so I can prevent more of this aggravation, the real fun begins [keep in mind this shit has been going on for months].

2. The phone call center. Oh joy! I wish it was an Indian call center, were the only thing I had to worry about was understanding a foreign dialect. I would be so happy if this was the issue, because for me, the issue is, I can't get a f%@king real person on the damn line! I know, we like to use automated systems these days, and everyone has them, but the voice recognition software for this garbage ass company is the pits. It can't understand anything that I say when entering the tracking number, and I often wonder, how would my grandmother mange with this or someone who speaks English as a second language and has an accent if the software can't understand MY English.

What to do, what to do? So, let's try the website then, right? LOL. Needless to say, I have yet to receive a response back.

3. If limited options were a prize, UPS.com would take first place hands down every time. Oh, and that virtual assistant, ask her if she's Human, she'll confess to being a bot, probably the only honest 'person' at UPS these days. The whole website is trash, with limited options, though I confess I only explored the part about filing a complaint. I had to submit my complaint under the General Category, because the website forces you into selecting specific paths for what your trying to do, and it's very narrow minding in my opinion. Then there's UPSmyChoice, which is a total joke. You think, I'll leave a message for the driver and tell him to place my package inside the foyer of the middle door, surely that is an option, right? I mean, it's UPSmyChoice, it's whole purpose is customization, surely they have 256 characters, or 50 word text box for you to communicate to the driver. Nope. Like 10 different options were you check off the one that applies to you and that's it, featuring such hits as, deliver to back door. The real kicker is some genus got paid to make this website.

Fire that f%@k of a Webmaster, Fire the f%@king idiot that designed the Call System [and allow calls that the voice recognition software can't understand be transferred to an operator. I rather wait on hold for 25 minutes than not get thru to anyone and hang up in frustration], and have an ability to contact the frigging truck master or whoever is in charge of your drivers so if they keep leaving packages by the frigging trash cans something can be done about it. At this point I am so hostile towards UPS that they ruined it for every private delivery service for me, going forward. I don't want to see UPS, FEDEX, DHS, or any of the private services with my packages; while USPS has their flaws, they are owned and regulated by the government, and you can always get a hold of a supervisor to pass the word on to stop leaving packages out on the neighbors steps in the middle of a f%@king thunder storm.

I ordered two items from Newegg (which only uses UPS). I live in San Diego and both items were coming from another city in California (somewhere near LA). Both items shipped at the same time, but one gets routed to San Diego, while the other gets routed to Chula Vista (still technically San Diego). I figured it was just a mistake and asked to pick up my package. UPS refused my request, so I had Newegg put in the request as well. They refused both requests to pick it up at the hub and instead returned the item.

In need of the item, I quickly order a similar item (from Newegg) to the item that was returned. They were two days late on the delivery and ONCE AGAIN routed my package to Chula Vista! I spoke with them again, and they claimed the zipcode was incorrect. I asked to speak with the local hub, but they refused, claiming the local hub didn't have a phone. However, they put in a request to have the local hub call me. The local hub calls from the phone they "don't have" and tell me once again that my zipcode is incorrect. They then go on to say that they no longer deliver to my zipcode. I had Newegg change the zipcode for the package, but UPS blatantly ignores the zipcode change and returns the package. I've never had an issue with my zipcode. USPS delivers to my zipcode just fine. FedEx delivers to my zipcode just fine. I've even seen UPS trucks right in front of the address. I know they deliver there, they just keep doing this to be spiteful.

So I was supposed to be getting a delivery on Friday 14/June, and after staying home and waiting till 10 PM, they sent me an email that basically states that my delivery has been pushed to Monday 17/June. I woke up this morning and a new email says that I should get the package on Tuesday 18/June by the end of the day, but I'm leaving for my flight at 6 PM. No one from customer service is available on weekends and I want them to at least move the package to one of their pickup stores on Monday so I can pick it up a day before. I call one of their stores to see if they can at least tell me what to do in an urgent case like this and he says: “Well just leave a governmental ID with a friend and let them pick it up when it arrives". Thanks a lot.

Another thing is that the tracking page say Ontario —> New Brunswick —> Nova Scotia (which is the correct route), but now it says Ontario —> New Brunswick —> Nova Scotia —> Ontario (Departure Scan)

They should really consider having Customer Service throughout the whole week. I'm so angry and I have them so much right now.

Critical package for my best friend’s wedding was supposed to arrive today Friday, 15 June wedding is tomorrow so I have been calling them since 7 AM this morning. giving them the detailed address to contact the dispatcher of where I dropped the box! Well come 8 pm this eve they finally picked it up and because it is second day Air saver it will not be delivered until Monday. So much for the wedding. Ha!
When I finally got a piddly little ass f”@&$ Supervisor on the phone (directly after the package had been picked A DAY LATE BY dispatcher no more than two minutes later). He said I was asking the impossible to have a delivered the next day Saturday??? Yeah bro ain’t got time to call the dispatcher? I’ve been trying to get those girls from Singapore/Philippine to call him all morning. No joke!
I understand globalization is a thing. But hey I am also an immigrant and a college professor and pretty damn astute at my job. So yo, B@“?n, 22 year old American supervisor. Started a new job and had critically important package sent overnight with 10:30am arrival guarantee. It now 11pm and 5 phone calls, 100 tracking page refreshes and a trip to the place they said it would finally be held for me and still don't have it. They want me to skip work and come back at 9:30 for a package that should have been delivered to my office yesterday! Totally incompetent workforce that is comfortable making up lies all day to get you off the phone. They said the driver would call me in an hour twice and no one did. Then they said drive to facility to pick it up and I got there and they had put it in a 'trailer' and I STILL couldn't get it. What kind of ridiculous service operation makes a customer go through this many hoops to get something they paid to have delivered? Had I known UPS was this bad, I would never have chosen them for something this critical. Had they been honest with me, I would have taken a flight and picked it up myself rather than trusting them to do their job. I used UPS almost weekly before this, but I will never use them for critical shipments again. They are very broken.

UPS packaged my air conditioner, shipped it and destroyed it and now they are refusing to pay for it. No, I didn't insure it as they had taken full responsibility for it. I guess you have to be ready for them to destroy anything you give them to the point that you need an insurance policy to protect against them demolishing your equipment. Hardly what I would call ethical behavior. I was taught to take responsibility for your actions. I guess that does't apply to corporate UPS.

I used to have an amazing UPS driver in my neighborhood and it was honestly a lot better then USPS in Bakersfield for the last two years. I ended up with a new driver and he was three hours later then my old driver. To the point that I ran to the UPS store and explained that something was wrong with my package. The lady at the counter made an endless variety of excuses. Also, my package was estimated to be the day before and she's like "well UPS ground dates can be changed whenever we feel like." I paid ten bleeping dollars for my package to be delivered, you should have a f%@king date on the package that is guaranteed. Her other excuse was that the package was in a warehouse and I would have to call customer support. Excuse me?! What do you people at UPS stores do all day? Sit on your fat ass getting paid to do jack shit?

The driver finally showed up at like 5PM. This annoyed me to hell, because my old driver was usually at my door step by 2PM on a slow day. On a fast day, it could be 1PM or even 12PM. And this son of a bitch wearing his jackass apple looking ear buds decides to drop my electronic vape pen I need to consume my medication (I smoke pot for anxiety and depression as well as pain.) on the dirt. Not in the GIANT BLEEPING MAILBOX. Not on the doorstep. Again, it's an electronic item and thank god the sprinklers weren't turned on.

My old driver would actually hand deliver the package if it was a large item and then he would helpfully ask me if I wanted it pushed into my house. Really friendly. If the package was smaller, it'd at least get dropped into a mail box.

I ended up catching this asshole's truck number and instantly reported him. I used the customer support hotline because quite frankly I was pissed off at the UPS store after the last horrible experience. At least their customer support team is actually a lot better to deal with. I'm hoping this stupid waste of human space gets fired.

I've had very little problems with eBayers but scammers are out there and the last two 'situations' I encountered. Both sellers were 77-years old. So it's not just kids.

Tried calling UPS to ask if they could track using my name and address, couldn't speak to someone because I didn't have A VALID TRACKING NUMBER! Duh! Ya think???

Tried to sign up for UPS My Choice which supposedly gives other tracking options but had problems doing that because the stupid system kept asking me for an extension number, even though I selected HOME PHONE. I gave up.

Then I got an email from UPS telling me that I had successfully updated my account information (????) so I went back to the website but still couldn't register for My Choice because the automated UPS thingy wanted an extension number that doesn't exist. State of the art technology and you can't reach a live person without a number that you don't have - the very reason you're calling!!!

Here I am on one of the last days off I have before a new job, sitting on the porch, facing the road because if I don't fully babysit it, I won't ever get my package. They straight up don't deliver packages here.

I leave the door open all day on delivery days and the driver still silently ding dong ditches with a "Sorry" note on the glass door. Who leaves their door open to the world if they're not home! MyChoice is a sham that absolves UPS of any actual responsibility and by refusing to use it, my driver is even more peeved with me.

Can't my mail lady deliver everything? She does her job and is pleasant to chat with on less busy days.

UPS just sucks. Guess I'd better text my spouse to bring me another drink. Gods know they'll show up and bail in the time it takes to pour a glass of water.

Second package lost by UPS. The first time they "lost" a set of basketball tickets. By the time I received my refund, the tickets had gone up in price. How hard can it be to have someone go to the seat numbers "lost" and track back who in UPS is stealing packages?

Their business practice is as follows: You contact them about the lost package, they say you have to contact the shipper, your package is lost. (Did the shipper lose the package or UPS?) Once a complaint is recorded, they once again tell you to contact the shipper for updates and resolution. Please note. Everyone should also post their complaints on twitter with @UPS.

They decide completely arbitrarily when I need to sign for something or not, which is supposed to protect ME, but they WON'T LISTEN WHEN I SAY I DON'T NEED TO f%@kING SIGN &%^$^&%%*&^*&^y&*&*(!!!

When I call customer service to get more info about my package, it will not connect me to an agent unless I speak the tracking number to the phone, which it always says it cannot find. So it's impossible to talk to someone.

For some reason, they can't manage to deliver my packages to my house. They deliver them pretty much all over my neighborhood, even though my house number can be seen from the road. The worst was when they sent the vendor a message that my address didn't exist and sent my package back without even attempting to deliver a second time. So any time I order anything and I receive notice that it's being delivered by UPS, I resign myself to having to start knocking on all the neighbors' doors to ask if my package was delivered to them. Amazon and now Target have notes on my accounts to use any shipper other than UPS.

UPS drivers average 135 delivery stops per package car in most centers. This includes busy in town routes doing 190 delivery drops along with 85 drops for the rural routes.

FedEx Express averaged 75-80 per route on average.

The union carriers out priced non-union carriers purely through productivity.

A publicly traded company & organized labor marriage proves to work in an iron-fisted production based mission statement.

The ESTIMATED TIME FRAME is a HUGE joke. FOUR HOURS is WIDE enough BUT UPS still can NOT make it AND shifted the estimated time to 45 minutes after the first time frame. So the two timeframes cover literally ALL DAY. I had to see a doctor during the 1st time frame and rushed right back home before 3pm. I saw UPS pushed to 3:45pm to 7 :45pm after I got home. I am really pissed off. I asked delivery guy and complained misleading time frames. The delivery guy asked me “WHO gave you the estimate?” Who else?? UPS delivery guys have no clue UPS provides estimated delivery time???

Paid $65 to overnight a small package. Didn't arrive. UPS admitted fault, but would only refund $11 because that's the difference from 2-day costs. If UPS ran an airline, they'd charge you half if they only got you half way to your destination! Because I didn't have anyone on site that second day, I called UPS to get them to leave the package without anyone there. They required I go through an hour in techno-pergatory on their web, sites, get two logins, and I still couldn't tell them to just LEAVE THE PACKAGE. I had to send someone to the job site to wait. And they never came. I called their number and told them to order the package left. At two levels of supervisor, they said they couldn't tell the driver unless I reentered purgatory to get their system to work. Which I wouldn't do.

Refused the shipment eventually. Do they realize what idiots they Are? or, are they in a blissful state of incompetence?

It's sad to say but UPS sucks. This is my first time using UPS and I hope to never use it again. I ordered a pair of glasses on the May 14th and I kept my eye on the tracking website, everything seemed to be fine until May 21st. They came to house with my package in his hands BUT it was too good to be true when he said there was missing information on the the papers so he wasn't able to give it to me. It was chill because he said he would come back the next day. No one came. I checked the tracking website and it said that my delivery was rescheduled. I waited and nothing was updated on the website so I decided to call a day after. On the phone, they told me to wait until it was updated and so I waited and AGAIN no updates on the website. I called again, asking what was happening to my package. They told me to call my shipper so they could investigate the missing information on my package. I called my shipper the next day and gave me instructions that I didn't understand so I called UPS hoping they would give some type of hope on my package. MIND YOU there was still no update on the website. They told me that they would send a request to have my package send that day....no package. I called the next day and they said to just wait for the next update because they were looking for my package. The whole experience is beyond frustrating and is still ongoing. I have no idea what's going on with my package that I paid for, I contemplated if I should just get refunded by the shipper but my package is in my city so it wouldn't make sense. The tracking website is no help as it doesn't tell me what the hell is going on and the customer service all tell me different instructions. I've been waiting for my package for 19 days now with no updates at all. I'm never using UPS again.

I tell Merchants to never use UPS. You're cheap, and it shows, but your motto shouldn’t be “When you expect it to be late, lost, or never delivered.”. There was a time 10-15 years ago that UPS was the choice shipper. You’re in Atlanta! I'm in Atlanta!

I go on the UPS app and see that I have the ability to pick the package up. When I select the option to hold at the location it says ready to pick up in four days, the delayed arrival date. I drive there at 1pm, far from closing time. They tell me I literally cannot have my laptop until the scheduled arrival date. I literally must let them hold it at this location for the whole holiday and weekend. f%@k UPS. Part two. I just ordered two Nintendo Switches. One is shipped from New Jersey, the other from California. I live somewhere in the middle. They both get to 3 hours away. Same facility, same time. Both sit there for a whole day. One is heading my way now and is scheduled to be delivered today. The other has been delayed for three days. WHY COULDN'T THEY BE PUT ON THE SAME TRUCK. THEY ARE LITERALLY THE SAME OBJECT BEING DELIVERED TO THE SAME PLACE AT THE SAME TIME.

UPS driver delivered a box yesterday just a box (not our passports) after calling a dozen times last night to customer service with people who cant form a sentence and read off a teleprompter.

They claimed I'd get them today- NOPE! Instead they shipped Passports to FLORIDA "by accident" (I'm in CT) and I'm supposed to fly tomorrow.

Customer service is USELESS by phone to I went to a local office and stood there for an HOUR.
They couldn't find why (or where) it was in Florida -

So, Now, the Passport office has to reissue my f%@king passport and overnight it (AGAIN)

I've ALWAYS hated UPS - even trying to send a package in their office sucks... today, several people walked into their office and were turned away for some sort of changes

Today a package I ordered was delivered, on day 3 after getting guaranteed 2-day shipping, to the wrong address. I get packages delivered on a regular basis and at least 50% of the time there is a problem, you'd think by now they would figure out where the f%@k I live. I can only assume the delivery driver in my neighborhood is an absolute moron and/or the laziest employee they have.

I requested to a shipper to use FedEx, they obliged. One refused and stuck with UPS. I have the two packages from FedEx in my home and unpacked, and I'm on a f%@king adventure to try to figure out where the f%@k UPS delivered my package. UPS likes to live in a fantasy land where everyone can literally schedule their days around a delivery. FedEx is apparently aware that this is just 1 part of the day, a part that is SUPPOSED TO BE pleasurable, but UPS acts as though they are doing you a FAVOR by delivering a package. It's not enough that you paid for the object AND THE SHIPPING, no, they take no risk and will not give you ANY ASSISTANCE let alone COMPLETE THEIR ACTUAL JOB. I can't believe how terribly UPS sucks!!! I get stressed out every goddamn time a shipper picks UPS and they HAVE YET to make it a painless experience! Oh my god! I hate UPS so much!!!!!!!!!!!

They keep wanting to shift the blame to anyone but themselves claiming that it wasn't packed right (packed exactly how they suggested), that it wasn't their fault (whose fault would it be once in their possession?), that you picked a declared value but that doesn't mean they'll cover it and their damage department makes the call if it was their fault (what?), that they don't need to see the package to know it was packed incorrectly (again, what?). I've been dealing with this since the end of March and still UPS claims this isn't their fault.

From looking at 'working at UPS' videos on Y.T., it's my belief what separates the UPS pre-2000 to today is the entire different supervision techniques used around the country. It was known in the past as a hard job with excellent pay in a short period of months or years with pride & respect. Whereas today it's about excellent benefits, very hard work that's constantly monitored with a much longer window to make excellent pay... little to no respect or pride. This includes a 20+ year hourly at full scale who has no respect towards any new hire and also any 10+ year full time supervisor or manager that has no respect towards any new P.T. salaried employee. The customer satisfaction pride has been reduced by a large margin. It's all about #'s today and every facility seems to run different rules and guidelines on how it's managed.

UPS is in trouble in the future. The CEO stating Amazon isn't a threat recently is Trump-Like and can't be removed, but make no mistake. UPS is slowly decaying from the inside-out.

1. UPS stated they'd deliver on Saturday to over 5800 U.S. cities ground and air by the end of 2018. (Not True)

2. Amazon is not working with UPS at all to get this package to me right away such as today. Otherwise they'd use more than the skeleton crew that only delivers Saturday Next Day Air Premium.

3. Amazon states if hasn't arrived by this Friday please contact us. That is unacceptable. If you have a Next Business Day Delivery and it's late. Should be able to contact immediately and not 1-week later.

Amazon & UPS need to clean up their integrity and be more forthright on their shipments.

The worst part of tracking your package is the lack of accuracy on any late shipments. UPS leads the field in my opinion on misinformation.

For example I have a NDA Saver that is scheduled to arrive to the house at 9pm tonight. The last scan was at 5:39am this morning 400-miles away. I already received a different NDA Saver from UPS today at 4:00pm. Both tracking numbers have a "13" after the first 6-numbers so that means NDA Saver. I personally know this second one will not arrive at 9pm but almost all other customers wouldn't know that. So all the thousands nationwide experiencing the same situation are at home expecting the UPS driver to show up at 9pm tonight. To a lot it isn't life or death it comes Monday. However, next day service should be honestly explained that a plane is down, weather is too foggy or UPS accidentally rerouted it. Sh*t happens... but to keep customers just hanging like this all day is some shady uncaring BS.

So my package never got a final destination scan or an out for delivery scan today. It is late... I don't care that much it is late.... it's the tracking that says it will be at my door by 9pm tonight that is the issue. The tracking will show late in the next couple hours. That's just not right.

Next day, checked tracking, and it said the same thing! I called customer service and they put me through to the local hub. Dispatcher promised it would be delivered the next day.

Next morning I checked tracking. It said package was being held for customer pickup! Driver had wrote this on the package!

I will avoid UPS even it if cost me a little more to ship a different carrier!

Drivers now make $37.70 an hour and August 1st, they get a raise to $38.40 and every hour worked after 8-hours will be at overtime rate of $57.60. Even if they work just one 10-hour day a week. They'll get $38.40 x 8 & $57.60 x 2. That equates to $422.40 a day on a 10-hour shift. Which is a normal UPS drivers day.

Growing up in a family business, the UPS delivery guy was selling cocaine on his route. Moved to New England after med school and learned about the pressure management put the drivers under, the hard drinking jock culture and burn out, the toll on marriages and so on. Unhealthy work environment par excellence.
It's sad, but doesn't require a college degree, and apparently the pay is adequate. So I feel a little guilty piling on. But, their culture seems uncannily good at making customers furious.
I was up at the local UPS store to drop off a return to Amazon a couple of weeks ago where an angry customer was losing his mind with the incompetent manager. I waited in line for twenty minutes before the guy could fix the problem on their Soviet-like computer system.
Two packages lost from online vendors I ordered from in the past week. Destroyed plants I received
from a reputable nursery a couple weeks before that. Sometimes they leave packages at my condo building, but ususually they claim that they tried to deliver when they definitely did not.
Right now I'm waiting for another shipment of live plants for six days, and their phoney tracking system says they were unable to deliver the package to their own "Access Point."
I tried signing up with their "My Choice" app which has locked me out for the past two months. I tried contacting them by email. They said, variously, they couldn't find a record of me, and then that it was because I was out of the country. No I wasn't. Well, they decided, they'd have to investigate, and referred me to some dept they failed to specify.

• 3:45pm > Called UPS to tell them I don't have it.
○ Also called Dell to inform them of no delivery, 8days to reorder and deliver.
○ Requested UPS to have Wyoming office management to call me to figure this out.
○ Was given case #1-122615678565
• 4:33pm > no call, and noticed on UPS tracking it was picked up, and called UPS again.
○ After nearly 30min call, was told it was delivered to wrong location.
○ Was also told driver will need to pick it up, I cannot pick it up.
○ Was told I should receive a call within an hour.
• 7:23pm > NO call back from Wyoming UPS, so I called UPS again
○ Was forwarded to a supervisor.
○ He told me he would help track this package and I would get it next day 4/25.
• 9:53pm > checked UPS tracking to find package was retrieved and will be sent back to shipper
○ Called UPS again and was told I would receive package next day 4/25
○ Told person I spoke with I had zero confidence in UPS to deliver.
Called UPS on 4/24/19 when I checked tracking to find it is indeed being returned to sender.
• 8:10am > Got escalated to supervisor again and discussed entire issue.
○ Requested that an investigation be opened into the Wyoming location to determine what went wrong and how do we fix it.
○ Also requested to be connected to next supervisor to escalate this issue, but busy and would be called back.
○ Was given case #1-122675917874
Called Dell to speak with them to help investigate why shipment was not made.
• They will ship new computer via FedEx.
• Asked to speak w/shipping manager to help with any address issues.
• Call escalated with shipping dept, was told they will investigate the matter.
Called UPS - Spoke to Alex (female)
• Wanted to know why no one called me back.
• She proceeded to tell me address was incomplete from shipper.
• I told her we get deliveries all day long, no problem, but that still does not explain why no call back.
• She kept going on about address, and that is why it went back to sender.
• Told her again she did not answer my questions.
• Same thing from her, after 15min, I told her I will assume UPS does not care and will never use them again.

Nothing arrives and its back "in transit." Was told by a co-tenant that they saw a UPS truck stop next to the building and drive away. That night, tracking updated: "This package is being held for a future delivery date." Definitely not something I requested, but I'm sure customer service would tell me otherwise. That new delivery date is supposed to be today. We'll see what happens.

I had a very important package being delivered. UNFORTUNATELY they chose UPS. I needed to sign for the package and wasn’t going to be home on the ship date. I went into my account and changed the date to the following day (FOR A FEE OF $5).

I received confirmation of the change from UPS via email. The tracking information kept saying it was coming on the original date. I finally tried to find out information online (NOTHING) then I attempted to call customer service. You can’t get through to an actual person without your tracking number. Well I had that number but for whatever reason the computer didn’t understand me for HALF AN HOUR. I kept just trying to override the tracking number and finally got customer service.

The woman who first took my call didn’t understand what I was saying. All she kept saying was my package was to be delivered on X (the original date). I finally had to get a supervisor. The supervisor ASSURED me my package would arrive the day I paid the extra money for (the following day). Then I was told that UPS would just REDELIVER my package if I weren’t home. Even though I’m giving them ample notice that I won’t be home. When I asked why are they TAKING MY MONEY for something that is automatically going to happen? She said she only followed UPS policy. THIS IS THE MANAGER saying this.

I was annoyed and frustrated with this overall incompetence of the customer service people (who are all outsourced to another country!!), poorly designed and uninformed website & taking money from me for no reason.

My package was delivered on the original date given to me when it was sent. Attempting to change the date (twice in my case) is a waste of your time and money. I then had to go chasing it for three days!!

Thank God for other shipping methods like USPS and Fedex.UPS will never thrive in this ever evolving world. They’re just old, not even old school.

Don’t use UPS if you can avoid it.

What the #1 concern over several decades is the mental transformation. They don't see their mental state closing in around them. They find the short-term high of posting or lurking but the longevity of the downside will weigh & pray on their mind. The job is stressful and they see it as a fix and that is true but like a meth addict it's short lived and the long-term effects will be the damaging factor. I ordered an expensive computer part on a Tuesday morning, with Amazon's 2-day free shipping. The package was delayed twice for weather, which is understandable. However, it arrives late last night, 2:00 AM on Saturday morning to whatever center. I did not realize UPS doesn't do ANY Saturday or Sunday deliveries, which makes them look like complete shit compared to Fed-Ex, or even USPS. The package will sit there until Sunday I'm sure, and they will deliver it Monday, almost a week after I ordered it.

Why the f%@k can I not go pick it up? People are working at these UPS centers today, Saturday. This was supposed to be at my door on Thursday, and I need this computer part to do my job. I am self-employed and work from home on my computer. It is beyond frustrating that I have no ability to do anything to help this along. Why don't they deliver on Saturday? Sack up UPS, this is 2019, with online shopping being more popular than ever.

I recently read an article talking about how Amazon is no longer making as much of an effort to fulfill their 2 day delivery guarantee, because they now own the entire marketshare pretty much. They did well while they were crushing the competition, but now there is no reason to care any longer. It said they knew that UPS wouldnt be able to keep up. Granted this article should be taken with a grain of salt, but in today's corporate climate, I don't doubt this much at all.

Change your policy UPS, either deliver on Saturday or let me pick up my f%@king package. What’s not cool though, is notifying me that it’s been delayed due to a train derailment (again, I understand that things happen) over 24 hours ago, but not updating since. Has the situation been resolved? Have the packages been transferred? Were they damaged? Are they still sitting on the derailed freight car? When are they expected to deliver?

I get it, things happen. However, I’m not the person you met and had a one night stand with on Tinder, then ghost the next day. A simple update on the status would go a long way towards our future relationship, yanno?

I bought a tripod from BUYA.com... UPS took it from Ontario, California all the way to New Windsor, NY (5 minutes from my home) and then RETURNED the package back to Ontario, CA because they realized it was addressed to a P.O. BOX!?! What kind of system is that? Why did it take 10 days and thousands of miles to figure out they could not deliver to a P.O BOX? Moreover, why couldn't the UPF NEW WINDOR, NY LOCATION call the shipper or me the receiver and request/change to a PHYSICAL address? So the "automated-system" returned the package to the sender (taking another 7 days)... We gave UPS a physical address and waited another three weeks only to figure out UPS is waiting on me to modify the last TWO DIGIT OF THE ZIP-CODE... I had to correct the zip-code from 12510 to 12520... again, can't the system figure it out? Can't they give you a call or message the sender or receiver? You have to figure it out! I have never experienced this frustration with FEDEX nor USPS!
BOTTOM LINE: I bought this item 29 DAYS AGO and I'm still waiting for it! I'll stay away from UPS!

Spring is here and my bike will be sitting for a few more weeks because UPS sucks. Two weeks ago they delivered furniture from home reserve. There were holes in the boxes and skidmarks along the bottom where the boxes were thrown. They were slid so badly on concrete that the reinforced tape was completely ripped off the bottom of the box. Again UPS sucks and I don’t know why anyone uses them. I never had this issue with Fed Ex or the USPS.

I constantly have problems with UPS delivery. Most of my shipping is free from the merchant and they normally use the unreliable UPS. Since shipping is free, it means they only ship merchant by ground. UPS always uses any stupid excuse to delay the package. Plus, UPS don't work on the weekend unless you pay them your arms or legs for Saturday delivery. If my shipment supposes to deliver on Friday and gets delayed, I will not have it until Monday. I also have experience that UPS kept my package in their warehouse since Thursday and not moving until following Monday. I can write up a book for my unhappy experiences with UPS. Ordered a laptop through Amazon USA on the 26th of February. It took 4 days for the package to travel overseas and reach the Athens airport. Currently, 18 days later, my laptop cant be delivered by...

Ordered a laptop through Amazon USA on the 26th of February. It took 4 days for the package to travel overseas and reach the Athens airport. Currently, 18 days later, my laptop cant be delivered by UPS still over a 20 mile distance, from the airport to my home.

The Chronicle of incompetency goes as follows:

1) They requested some authorization to initiate the customs clearance, which is reasonable. Although I provided it, it was apparently not enough and it took 2 whole business days for them to inform me.

2) I physically mailed everything needed, handwritten and cross authenticated by a government official, as requested. This process took a whole Saturday, which is the only day I had time to do so since *gasp* I work on business days. The documents in question are all highly sensitive info like personal VAT number government id authenticated copies etc.

By tracking my mail I was notified that it had been delivered to UPS.

But their tracking system claimed that additional documents were required.

I called them and they claimed that they hadn't received anything. They had the nerve to do so while the Courrier service had signatures proving that someone at their office had received the papers. They became hostile at the phone and of course that was my turning point as well.

3) After a lot of back forth calls and emails about the whereabouts of my mail containing personal info and documents I caved in and sent them a second time. Went through all the process, government issuing, mailing, paying for said courrier mail service.

Tracking the mail again I get notified that it has reached them, again. Knowing too well what was about to happen I phoned them, yet again.

I asked them whether they had received my papers yet again, which I had sent a second time, and the f%@king secretary turned snarky and ironic right away like, 'Mister we've told you again and again that your papers never reached as', 'Do you have proof that it was delivered to us'. When I told her it is the second time I am sending them she answered like fine I'll take a look. After a whole quarter she came back and said

'You're right we have actually received them, please understand our situation'

What the f%@k does that even mean? Is your job a f%@king situation that you might or might not get it done depending on your mood?

Why is UPS not checking facts before answering to customers? Where are my original papers at that their sole existence violates any GDPR law at?

4) After that it took 2 days for it to reach and ADJACENT to the airport UPS facility. I called them to change the delivery address to my workplace and they replied that this can't be done. IT HAS TO FAIL AT LEAST ONE TIME BEGORE THE ADDRESS CAN BE CHANGED.

5) I waited 2 days for the delivery to fail. Then called to change address. Customer service informed me that great the delivery failed, you can now change your address and get it delivered there but the change will be take place in 2 business days.

So, I've been shipping through UPS for 15 years, and today had a pickup scheduled for 13 large cartons between 3:00 and 5:00...got home at 2:45 and had the "Pickup attemped" sticker on my front door. Same thing happened last week...came 30 minutes before the scheduled time...same sticker.

Called UPS at 3:00, on the line for 25 minutes...asked me all of the questions which answers were on the pickup request #2902D4EJRI1...address, name, phone, number of cartons, etc. Promised that they would reschedule and someone would make the pickup before 5:00. No pickup...

Called UPS again at 5:00, on the line again for 20 minutes...same question routine from someone who barely spoke English..again promised that someone would call me back within an hour to arrange pickup. No call...no pickup...

Called UPS again at 7:00, on the line again for 20 minutes...same question routine. Guaranteed me that someone would call within one hour to arrange pickup. No call...no pickup...

Called UPS again at 8:30...a supervisor finally admitted that it was too late, and that there would be no pickup this day...

How do you run a business like this?...I am so done with UPS...they have lost a long-term customer for good.

No.....They have shipped it all over the map. See Below. This last Friday after being sent to Indiana, I told them, them be just pay for Saturday red, just get me my document. They say the will call back.....After all, I called 16 times to get a package why now should they come through.

Finally going to be delivered, driver rings bell and runs for trunk takes off. I call UPS to hold the package, I will just go get it. I'm am told it will be available the next day from 8am to 8:30pm.

Guess what, they already put it on a truck.....These guys are awful!!! You scream and yell. Nothing. So hard to get a manager. These guys should be out of business. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! They guy behind the counter was purposely taunting me stupid comment and that this was my problem. Take threating to smash the computer to get a manager to speak with you. This is ridiculous.

NEVER SEND UPS!!

When I responded to one of the messages by submitting the tracking number, they then indicated they had an incorrect address, although the address listed was actually correct. I verified it was correct, submitted the verification, and received another of several emails indicating it would be delivered and then delayed. Finally one of the later emails indicated it might be delayed due to bad weather.. So...I called UPS (after taking a ton of time working through their web site and waiting for a call-back from the local UPS station where it had been sitting for more than a week) and I FINALLY received a call-back. The UPS rep argued they had an incorrect address even though I told her I verified that it was correct all along and had responded. Then she said weather was a factor. I offered to take a picture of my long driveway and send her a JPEG so she could see that my driveway was simply wet and not icy or snowy at the time, but she declined. I got nowhere with her and finally told her it was obvious we were at an impasse. I then gave up and hung up. After applying the pressure (and taking an hour of my time) they FINALLY did deliver the package the next day. OMG!!

I have been doing business with UPS for over 30 years and have seen first hand a sever decline in the quality of drivers and managers as well. I remember when they had a strike I believe in 2007 there was a heated battle between the managers and the drivers and loaders. If you were receiving multiple packages one or two might make it to you and the other 3 or 4 could end up in the next state over. I have been lied to on so many occasions I have lost track. Never before have I seen, the unable to deliver, customer not available let alone 2 or 3 times a month. I see the truck go by and the driver doesn't stop. If you complain to the driver the service get worse! If you complain to a manager they tell you we will look into it, we have had several complaints about your driver and we will get back to you, Driver keeps his job and you never hear back from the manager. UPS is a joke and getting worse every day. I guess that's what happens when a union runs the company, nothing gets done because they don't have to.
It's all in the contract and there is nothing we can do about it.

This isn't the only time I've had an issue with this company delivering my goods in a timely manner. The latest issue with these guys is for a package to be delivered on 3/7/2019. The package had been tracked from Oregon to West Sacramento, CA which is the closest distribution center to my residence. I arranged my schedule to receive this package and was told it would arrive sometime on the 7th. This is not what happened. I waited all day for this package only to find at 9pm the status changed from out for delivery in my area to a destination scan in Lathrop, CA and then a new deliver date of 3/11/2019. Why would my package not be delivered when it was supposedly out for delivery on the 7th in my immediate area? How did it end up in Lathrop which is hours away? I would call for answers and hopefully a solution but my previous dealings with this shitty company have shown me that nothing will be done. It's a shame that merchants use this delivery service because they are absolutely awful at the one job they are supposed to be specialized in. I hate UPS and will not be ordering from merchants who use their horrendous service.

Have an account with UPS MyChoice - phone notifications no longer working. Couldn't find the
"skip signature" on website - they already punted it off to USPS so I have to drive into town, stand in
line, etc...

My package was supposed to be at my house at the "End of the Day" March 4th according to the UPS website. The UPS guy came over around 10:30 AM when I was at the Gym for about 1 hour. He gave me note saying that "You can pick up package at Access Point after 1 PM". The package was no where to be found. I called UPS main line, had to talk to a computer, said tracking number about 7 times. Finally, UPS Rep answered the phone. She told me that the UPS guy will be at my house the first thing about 8:20 AM March 5th. I politely thanked her. Well! he didn't show up at 8:20 AM. The time now is 1:30 PM, no UPS to be found.

UPS has lost my packages a couple times, delivered to wrong address. Those packages were banzai trees. I called the UPS, they said "Ask them to send another". They don't take any responsibilities at all.

I literally had to sign up for UPS My Choice and specify where I wanted my packages delivered (my front door) so that the delivery driver would stop throwing my package in the dirt at the end of my driveway where it is visible for people to steal. Literally 4 miles away there was a UPS distribution center and for a solid year packages were either delayed for days saying address not found or they'd say undeliverable address not found and sit at the distribution center and I had to pick them up. At the same time anything shipped FedEx and USPS had no problem reaching me. One of the times when I had to physically go down to the distribution center to pick up an alleged undeliverable package I had an exchange with one of the ladies working the counter. She was actually super nice which kept me from losing it but at one point I asked angrily why UPS can't find my address when FedEx has never had a problem delivering to it. She said in the nicest and most serious tone "Ohh there's no way we will ever be as good as FedEx." I was so taken aback by her honesty I was speechless and just nodded and walked out.

We had some mostly-melted snow in Seattle at that point - schools were back in session - but there was a weather-related delivery exemption for the scheduled February 14th delivery, followed by another exemption on the 15th. Then, the next week, the package delivery estimate was updated to Tuesday, February 19th between 3:30-7:30 PM. There was an update that it was on the delivery truck in the morning and then, late that night, after no package had arrived, the delivery estimate was updated to Wednesday, February 20th from 3:30-7:30 PM. The same thing happened again: update that it's on the truck, followed by late-night delivery change to Thursday.

On Thursday, the same thing happened, but around 5:30 PM, they changed the estimate to Friday. I called customer service at this point and explained that these changes had consequences and that it was urgent that we get the non-irritating diapers that day. I was told they sent an urgent message to the Georgetown UPS facility and that a representative from that facility would call me back by 6:39 PM. Come 9 pm, I still hadn't received the promised call, and instead got a bizarre update that there had been a delivery attempt and that the package was undeliverable at that address.

I checked the address and there were no issues. So I called customer service again. They apologized profusely and said they wrote a message to the facility clarifying that the address is correct and requesting a call. They promised I would receive a call by 10:00 AM Friday morning to verify the address and when my package would be delivered on Friday. Of course, come 10:30 AM on Friday, I still haven't received a call. So, I once again called customer service and all they can do is send another message to the Georgetown service center. They also tried to claim that these issues were due to weather, which makes no sense as the roads have been entirely clear for a week now. Then, they claimed it had to do with volume, which does not at all explain the daily changes when the package is already on the truck or the bizarre misunderstanding of a very clear street address.

In the meantime, I've had two-day deliveries - and same-day deliveries! - from FedEx and USPS with no problems this week, including on the only two days when there was snow or ice on the ground (10 days ago now.)

Oh, and when I asked to speak directly with the facility or with someone who could address these ongoing issues, I was told the only way to contact the delivery center is with "automated messages" from customer service and they only way to contact the corporate higher-ups would be through a letter.

I was searching File a Complaint with UPS and scrolled down a page or two and found a complaints board with a perspective from a real UPS employee and it was shocking to read. He/She only posted it Jan. 6th, 2019. So it's a recent look into how UPS is slowly decaying.

I know nothing can be done. I know one complaint or disgruntled employee has no voice in corporation such as UPS. Yet, the numbers are growing at a rapid pace and it doesn't look to ever change at UPS.

My best advice would be to try and stay away from UPS. They're just not or don't know how to change.

UPS managed to get a package from California, across the country and literally 100 miles away from me, over the past weekend. On Monday, I tried intercepting the package, so that I could pick it up at a neighboring UPS Freight (the business next door to where I work). I was told that wasn't possible since my signature is required.

By Monday afternoon, the status was showing "Delivery on Tuesday between 12:30 and 4:30." Around 11:30 they e-mailed me updating the status "Delivery by end of day Wednesday between 1:00 and 5:00." Around 8:00 PM it still hadn't been delivered, so I wrote to customer service.

Now the status shows "Delivery on Friday between 1:00 and 5:00."

I assure all of you this is not a weather related issue. This is just gross incompetence. I've lost two days of work, sitting around waiting for a package that never comes.

I live 10 miles from the Redmond, WA distribution center. My two packages have been sitting there without moving for 9 days. Every day the update is that it will be delivered that day, and each evening they revise it to: “ emergency weather... your package will be delivered the next business day.” There was snow 9 days ago and the post office has not missed one day. There is no snow left. UPS is lying and they must have some other terrible problem that they blame on weather. I will never use UPS again if I can possibly avoid them. Customer service is no help. They said they would have the office holding my package call me within an hour- but they didn’t. Now unfortunately I have been notified that another package I was hoping would arrive through USPS has been sent to UPS and is now sitting in the black hole of the Redmond distribution center with not even an estimated delivery date.

Ups always looses my packages or leaves them at wrong adress, if they do get it right 1 out of every 5 has damage. I get 30+ packages a month so its not like im hard to find.

I live in Bellevue, WA. As many others have experienced in my area, UPS is using "severe weather" an a reason for countless delays this week and last. Yes, we had a significant snow storm, and I would expect them to be backed up, but this is beyond ridiculous.

Over the last two weeks, I placed 5 orders from various vendors for my new computer set up. EVERY ONE shipped via UPS has been delayed, some as late as 6 days. On two occasions UPS claimed they could not access my door, when it has been perfectly clear. Every day I receive another UPS "sever weather" alert, yet FedEx and USPS have no issues making deliveries.

Seattle, WA - 2 packages being sent to me via UPS. 1 scheduled to arrive 2.14 the other 2.15. Both popping up in my UPS Choice account saying they are out for delivery at 8am each day. Follow up email about severe weather delaying the packages at 5pm each day.

The roads have been clear for a week now.

I received a 110lb (50kg) package from FedEx on 2.16 to give a little perspective about the weather.

Amazon's Ontrac & Prime Now have been to the house several times in the past week.

The post office missed one day of delivery due to snow.

UPS should be out of business. Disgraceful performance. The Pony Express could have gotten the package to me by now on horseback.

I HAVE AN ANSWER (sort of) for Washington state people! UPS says they're having a computer issue that says packages are out for delivery, when they're not. Why NOT out for delivery? Because they STILL haven't caught up from the bad weather OVER A WEEK AGO. Furthermore, even pkgs. overnighted or containing perishables are sitting there.

They recommended I come in to pick up my (probably wilted) flowers. Not easy for me, but better than NEVER getting them.

Don't expect this to clear up soon. They're still way backlogged.
